Sorry for the delay. It's been crazy, and I've been running up and down the state and when I'm home, it's an avalanche of catching up!

But yes, that is sort of what I did with you, Sandra, my little dandelion! :-)

The workers go out, spread the message, plant the seeds, water the dandelions.....That's sort of what you did for me......in a way..right?

Great thought. If you think about dandelions -- which I'm doing a lot lately up here -- the seeds end up all over the place. Some places are fertile and they grow like crazy there. Others are not fertile, and maybe one or two are in that patch.

But if you want to make dandelion tea or make a balm out of it for sore muscles, you have to harvest them. That takes a little work. Not a whole lot, but I can't sit in the house and wait for those dandelions to make their way into my kitchen.

So the workers -- that would be you and me and everyone who believes in Jesus Christ and in His salvation -- have to go out and do the work, harvesting those seeds that have already been sown and grown into full maturity.

To answer the last question..Sending out the workers to harvest. I think Jesus meant that there were many who needed to find God but, not many spreading the message. Look at the words in 9:35. Jesus was a teacher , preacher, healer and he had compassion for the the harassed and helpless. He needed followers and people to trust in his words and his love for the "lost sheep"
