I thought about posting the passages we are looking at here, but I would likely be violating copyright laws. Fair use does allow us to quote small passages, and I encourage all to do so when posting here.

Because my first thoughts for starting this blog is the fact that I have several friends who are new to Christianity — and a few who are “thinking it over” — I want to do a couple of things:

  1. Keep it simple;
  2. Start from the beginning; and
  3. Have a discussion about what is meant by the scriptures we are reading.

I will, God willing, be posting a new discussion every Monday.

I hope that between Monday afternoon through Sunday night, anyone who wants to discuss anything about our reading or anyone who has any questions or inspirations about the reading will do so here, and anyone who wants to comment on those comments or answer any questions will do so here as well.

The only rule I would have us follow is the Golden one, which Jesus stated himself like this: “Therefore all things whatsoever would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them.” Or you may recognize this one better: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
