Our reading this week is The Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 7.
This is a continuation of the Sermon on the Mount, and it delves into some important issues.
Verses 1 through 7 are about not judging others.
Verses 7 through 12 is encapsulated in the phrase, “Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you…”
Verses 13 through 23 are about entering the Kingdom of God.
And 24 through 27 are about two men: a wise man who built his house on rock, and a foolish man who built his house on the sand.
With this, Jesus ended his sermon.
